As I waited for my wife to get home from work, I gathered the strobe lights, light stands, meters, charged all the batteries, and ironed the backdrops. I also needed to make sure all my settings were set on my cameras.

I have recently tried to apply or in my instance reapply this lifestyle as I am of the age where I recall actually living with these means in my life.

This is the film camera I have been searching for!

So I have further dove into the analogue revolution recently. After stopping at a random estate sale we found this old typewriter for $1. Feeling like we had nothing to lose we purchased it thinking if it didn’t work we could at least use it for decor. However…

For landscape photography you are going to be shooting a lot slower. Especially with water or clouds dragging the shutter speed will produce that silky look. We are generally trying to limit the amount of light so it doesn’t come all in at once. you are going to want at least one Wide and one telephoto. Here is where I can also recommend a long telephoto variable aperture. Because we often want everything in focus low apertures so bigger numbers on the f-stop which give us a larger depth of field.

So in my last blog i covered basic things to consider when choosing your first camera, but today i want to narrow it down a little and get into a specific genre called street photography.

I often get asked “what camera should I get?” from several friends and family. And while I have been pondering how to answer this in a short thirty second video for social media. I feel that wouldn’t really clarify my answer very well. Now what some people mean buy “what camera should I get?” Is what brand should I buy?
